Changzhou Wayon Technology Development Co., Ltd. was established in July 2003 with a registered capital of 2 millions. The company was designated by Ministry of Railways as an enterprise for developing, manufacturing and marketing of the key components for railroad locomotives, and spare parts for special vehicles.¡¡¡¡
For the time being, there are 95 workers and staff on its payroll, including 4 senior engineers, one Doctor, one Master of Science and 18 research & development technological personnel. The company covers an area of 2.66 hectares, and is equipped with more than 60 sets of equipments, such as imported manufacturing center, CNC machine tool, high precision grinding machine with rotary table, and high speed numeric control profile machine tool. Besides, it is also equipped with three-coordinate measuring machine, metallurgical microscope, optical projector, multi-purpose material performance tester and various flaw detectors.
The company had been approved with the right for import and export in 2004, and had been certified with ISO9001 in 2006. During the past years, the company was awarded the titles of ¡°Jiangsu Private Technological Enterprise¡±, ¡°Jiangsu Hi-tech Enterprise¡±, ¡°Jiangsu Outstanding Technological Growth-Oriented Enterprise¡± consecutively ; and titles of ¡°Changzhou Safe Production Enterprise Level One¡± and ¡°Excellent Supplier¡± confirmed by US Textron Group, one of the Global 500 Strength Enterprise.

The company¡¯s key products, the piston for heavy-duty diesel combustion engine and hydraulic damper for locomotives, are certified as ¡°Hi-tech Products of Jiangsu province¡±, of which the piston was supported with ¡°National Innovation Fund¡± of Ministry of Science and Technology in 2008.
The company focuses on ¡°production, study and research¡± cooperation, and has established close cooperation with South-West Jiaotong University and Jiangnan University. The establishment of ¡°Precision Manufacturing Research Center of Jiangnan University and Wayon Company¡± has provided the enterprise with powerful support for its product research and development. The company has undertaken several provincial and municipal key projects. Five national invention and utility model patents, including shock absorber¡¯s ¡°flexible joint¡± were awarded.
